CSDF Events DayThis years Cold Storage and Distribution Federation (CSDF) Events Day was held at a new venue after two very successful years held at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire. The new, purpose built venue was at the Waterfront, near Tamworth in Warwickshire, and proved to be a very nice venue indeed!
With the weather holding off and after a great BBQ lunch, the activities began. With 4 new events and a couple of old favourites there was something for everyone. As well as patriot buggies, quad bikes and go-karts for the driving enthusiasts, there was long bow archery and clay pigeon shooting for those with a sure shot. For added excitement this year, there was a chance to drive an inflatable dingy on the lake and some drivers certainly liked the speed, at the cost of the slightly wet passengers. Two members of Stancold participated in the events day. They were part of the Kingspan team which consisted of: Andy Croxton - Stancold Thomas Court - Stancold Tony Harold - Kingspan John Smith - Kingspan Edwin Bywater - FGB After all the events it was time to have a drink and enjoy the awards ceremony. Awards were presented to the winner of each event, the overall individual winner and the overall winning team. The Kingspan team were awarded Overall Team Winners. This award was for constant top performances through each of the events. Each member of the team received a bottle of champagne and a CSDF baseball cap. The event was haled by all to be a great success and the prize giving after dinner showed how the teams had developed a true competitive spirit. We would like to thank Kingspan for inviting us and CSDF for holding the event. |
