Stancold were delighted to work with our client, a specialist in industrial storage solutions, again, following the success of our recent work together within a fashion retail distribution warehouse.
A four-storey mezzanine structure was to be installed within this e-commerce fulfilment centre in Northampton, so four no. fire-rated staircase enclosures were required as part of the building’s fire safety strategy.
Thanks to years of experience in this type of work, Stancold’s team have an unrivalled understanding of the intricacies required within this type of construction, so a collaborative programme of works was developed to ensure that the build of each element, including both the mezzanine and enclosure, was coordinated with logistics in mind.
Stancold’s LPS 1208 accredited installation team worked with Eurobond’s Firemaster panel system, utilising a 100mm thickness, as it was able to achieve the specified 60-minute fire-rating, installing directly to the mezzanine structure.
The works took place over several phases; composite panels were erected horizontally enclosing the new stairwells, before floors constructed by our client. In the final stage, our team returned to integrate approximately 20 one-hour fire-rated personnel doors.
Methodical planning and our team’s ability to adjust in limited access working environments enabled Stancold to complete this project successfully.
Teamwork and co-ordination ensured our success
