Car Manufacturing Area

A&H Construction

Background

West Midland-based building and civil engineering contractors, A&H Construction appointed Stancold for the internal fit-out of a new car manufacturing facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The end client is Prodrive, a British motorsport and engineering company specialising in the design and build of race cars and road cars for teams such as Aston Martin, Mini and Subaru.

Requirement

Supply and installation of internal firewall partitions and compartmentalisation over 3 floors, building dwarf walls to create work areas and office cubicles.

Solution

Stancold was involved in the early stages of the construction works, overseeing the logistics of panel deliveries and making sure the project ran smoothly despite difficult site conditions. Some of the walls were up to 14m high, therefore, extra precautions have been taken to lift the panels and install them safely at height.
