Throughout our 70-year history, Stancold have travelled far and wide across the United Kingdom, successfully completing projects for satisfied clients. This Spring will be no different, as the installation team travel nearly 400 miles north of our base in Bristol to install over 1500m² of cleanroom panelling in Scotland.
This project will see the team work together with one of our cleanroom construction partners to create ISO 8 and ISO 9 standard cleanroom areas for aerostructures manufacturing. With the build taking place in a large hangar on site in West Scotland, Stancold will be responsible for supplying and installing the hygienic panels, a walk-on ceiling and a number of hinged personnel and rapid rise doors.
The ISO standard areas will be constructed using Kingspan Versatile panels, a high-performance material available with a range of core types and designed for semi-flush cleanroom environments. This project requires Kingspan Versatile Quadcore panelling of 50mm and 80mm thickness for the walls and additional 100mm panels to create the walk-on ceiling, which will be primarily used for maintenance access.
Once a full site survey is completed imminently by the Stancold projects team, and construction drawings are produced, the installation will begin in March.
Being able to partner with contractors in cleanroom construction allows us to pool together the technical knowledge and experience from both parties, installing a solution that is suited to our customers’ exact requirements.
